Kobe Bryant’s Passing Isn’t About You.

My feed on IG, FB, and LinkedIn is filled with brands using a legend passing away as a moment to selfishly promote themselves.

I can see it now: Agencies & Brand Managers scrambling to make a relevant post about Kobe in the last 24 hours.

I’m all about marketing at the speed of culture in a time where information exchanges at the speed of thought, but not when it is for a selfish me, me, me reason.

Unless your brand had a legitimate relationship with him, sit down.

It’s not about you.
