My Grandma Vita’s San Marzano Tomatoes

They’re pretty good (I’m biased, but they really are).

But she doesn’t grow them; these berries grow themselves.

Vita’s job is to create conditions for them to grow: the soil, the water, the light, the airflow, the location in the yard… these are her conditions.

A successful outcome doesn’t exist without first creating the conditions.

This anecdotal lesson also applies to selling cars, servicing them, recruiting, customer service, et. al.

Shit in, shit out.

Creating the conditions is the hard part. And that’s the part we all (you all) love to ignore.
